In the Bazaars of Hyderabad: Flower Markets



Jambagh Flower Market
Flower markets are fun places to go to. There are big wholesale ones in Gudimalkapur and Jambagh, not far from my home in Hyderabad. Piles and piles of flowers of different kinds at unbelievable prices (but you'll have to buy at least a kg because these are wholesale markets), tons of flower decoration accessories and smiling faces all around - happy-making stuff :)

These kids were hanging out at the market and having so much fun
He's not so smiley in this picture, but he was really smiley in person :)

    Madhu, have been on your blog a few times just to drint in the beautiful pictures and of course hyderabad..dont live there anymore but makes me very nostalgic.

    would you ever make prints and give it to these guys? i think they might appreciate it no?

    1. Thank you Pree! When I shoot pictures of people, I invariably show them their picture on my camera's LCD - that makes it interactive, and also fun for them, so they get more comfortable with the camera and smile more :) Giving them prints is something I have often thought about, but never got around to - these markets are very crowded and finding the same person again might be pretty hard, but yes, I must try some day!
